From The Cariboo to Wall Street - A Tale of Irish Hospitality

The story of Cahill's Cellar began in the rugged and remote Cariboo region of British Columbia back in the 1940s, and it's a tale as rich as the finest whiskey we serve.

In the early 1940s, Nolan Cahill found himself in the stunning but untamed wilderness of the Cariboo region. And it was there that he opened a small pub that quickly became a beloved gathering spot for miners, loggers, and locals alike.



It was here that the foundations of our warm, welcoming atmosphere was created where everyone walking through the door felt like it was their second home.

A Journey to Wall Street

As the years passed, Cahill's Cellar continued on in the Cariboo until it was closed in 1963. Years later, the bold decision was made to open in a new location under the same name - in New York City's Financial District.



In the midst of the bustling financial hub of the world, Cahill's Cellar became an oasis of relaxation and camaraderie. Our Irish roots remained strong, as did our commitment to offering the finest selection of Irish whiskeys and ales, along with traditional Irish fare.
